Who we are
PocketSorted ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@pocketsorted.com.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and a securely hashed password.
- Your calculations and numbers — the figures you choose to save, such as income, outgoings and saved results.
- Billing — payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; we keep a record of your plan and payment history.
- Emails you ask us to send — if you email yourself a result, we keep your email address and, only if you tick the box, your consent to receive tips.
- Usage — essential cookies to keep you logged in and to credit referrals, and (only with your consent) analytics.
Why we use it
To provide the service you've asked for (contract), to keep the site secure (legitimate interests), to send marketing only where you've opted in (consent), and to keep financial records (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
Our hosting provider, Stripe (payments) and our email provider — each only to run the service. If you click a partner comparison link, you leave PocketSorted and that partner's own privacy policy applies. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account, your saved numbers and calculations are deleted immediately. Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your account yourself from Account → Settings, or email us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We only use a small number of essential cookies, which the site needs to work:
ps_session— keeps you logged in. It's deleted when you close your browser, or after 30 days if you tick "remember me".ps_ref— only set if you arrive through a friend's referral link, so they get credit when you sign up. It lasts 60 days and is removed once you've signed up.
If analytics is switched on, we'll ask first. Analytics cookies are only set if you tap Accept in the cookie banner, and your choice is remembered on your device. When you pay, Stripe may set its own cookies to process the payment securely.
